What does Islam say about being kind to parents?
🤖
Kindness to parents is one of the greatest obligations in Islam, mentioned directly after the command to worship Allah alone.

Allah says in the Quran: وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا "Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents." — Al-Isra 17:23

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parents, and the anger of Allah is in the anger of the parents." (Tirmidhi 1899)

وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَم — And Allah knows best.
